Evan Gary brings integrity, honesty, determination, and a winning attitude, fueled by a healthy dose of curiosity, to every search he leads. A Native New Yorker with New Jersey roots, Evan is a successful entrepreneur and former software engineer who has spent nearly two decades helping companies scale through exceptional talent.
Evan began his career in software engineering and technical sales, building a deep understanding of how high-performing teams are formed and how great people drive business outcomes. Over time, the transition from technical sales to recruiting felt like a natural evolution. He discovered that the same skills that made him successful in engineering and sales, listening closely, solving complex problems, and matching the right solution to the right need, were the foundation of great recruiting.
In 2009, Evan founded Quantitative Systems, a firm known for delivering high-impact technical talent to fast-moving, tech-driven companies. Over the years, he built a reputation for combining a rigorous search process with a personal, human approach. His ability to understand the nuances of a role, uncover what truly makes a client’s story compelling, and connect with candidates in a genuine way has been central to his success.
Now, in 2025, Evan has launched Hecht Search, a new recruiting company created to serve a broader range of industries and roles. Hecht Search reflects Evan’s belief that while industries may differ, the need for great people never does. The firm partners with growing businesses to identify and attract leaders and specialists who elevate teams, strengthen culture, and drive measurable results.
Evan’s core strategy has always been to embrace the ever-evolving digital landscape with innovation, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit. His guiding principle remains simple: no matter what products or services a company provides, its most valuable resource will always be its people. Outside of recruiting, Evan enjoys life with his wife and four kids. When he is not at home with family, you can usually find him hiking, running, or listening to a podcast. His interests range from startups and entrepreneurship to self-improvement and emerging technology, always staying curious about what is next and how people and businesses grow.
